The Playford Trust, in collaboration with CEEC International Limited (CEEC), is offering one (1) Minerals Industry scholarship for 2025. The scholarship is intended to assist students who have the potential to become leaders in the minerals industry and who demonstrate wide-ranging abilities, good communication skills, organisation skills and who have the potential to become good managers. Applicants who are involved in student and community activities will demonstrate some or all these attributes.

AusIMM / Playford Trust Minerals Industry Scholarships

The Playford Trust in collaboration with the Adelaide Branch of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM), offer three Minerals Industry scholarships annually. Scholarships are available to outstanding students currently enrolled in any of the following fields at one of South Australia’s three public universities:

Geoscience;
Mining Engineering;
Chemical Engineering (Minerals Processing);
Environmental Engineering; or
other undergraduate programs directly relevant to the minerals industry.

2025 Headstart Scholarship Program

The University of Adelaide’s Headstart scholarship program gives high achieving students the opportunity to study at university while still in Year 12, and have these university studies count towards their SACE and Selection Rank.

While studying at the University part-time Headstart students not only have the opportunity to find out what university life is like before they even finish school, but also contribute to and benefit from the diverse cultural and intellectual life of the University of Adelaide.
