Lights, camera, ACTION! Dive into the exciting world of screen acting with WAAPA’s Acting for Camera class! Develop techniques required for close-up shots and learn ways to connect to an authentic emotional truth. Explore and apply the vocabulary of filmmaking that actors use on set. As you encounter scenes and monologues from a range of engaging film scripts you will practice essential techniques for being a confident screen actor. Learn about the audition process and how to film a self-test like a pro. Test your acting and film making skills on the final day with our special One Shot Wonders project! Invite your family and friends to see your work on the big screen.
